Scheduler III

Overview:As a Scheduler III, your primary responsibility is to schedule facility-based procedures such as surgeries and imaging services. You will be required to work with limited supervision and ensure all necessary pre-registration and authorization information is updated before patient appointments. The successful completion of this task will help improve service delivery.Responsibilities:• Facilitating patient services requires scheduling consultations and sending new patient packets that contain medical history questionnaires, patient instructions, and other necessary preparations prior to appointments.• To ensure that proper authorization information is documented, pre-registration must be completed for scheduled exams.• Orderly arrangements for departmental evaluations or medical processes ensure exceptional care and quick results.• Using available resources, the healthcare professional verifies patient information and insurance details to ensure the accurate selection of both the patient and the appointment.• Ensures that the orders are accurately matched with the scheduled exams and promptly resolves any discrepancies in orders and lab results.• It is expected that the individual will undertake additional tasks as necessary or instructed.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Required:• High school diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE:Required:• 4 years of experienceLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
