Overview:· Seeking a positive, team member personality who is proficient in accounting with large volume data skills to be the “right/left” hand to the existing Controller. Collaboratively working with the existing AP and AR Managers to jointly oversee the financial operations, document processes, and drive improvements in effectiveness/efficiency while balancing internal control. Cross-training the team is an equal priority in order to factor for succession planning and career advancement of all team members.Responsibilities:· Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receive, bank reconciliation and payroll for 2 companies.· Coordinate with Accountant(s), AP Manager, and AR Manager to perform a 5 day monthly financial close process specifically ensuring journal entries are correct and balance sheet accounts are reconciled and appropriately documented on Day 4 to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.· Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions, including the preparation and filing of sales tax returns, annual property tax filings, and other local tax requirements as applicable.· Support AR Manager by:· receive inbound customer calls to assist in processing payments, resolving billing or scheduling, or routing to appropriate department as needed.· Place outbound calls to call customers and inform them of outstanding debt and process payment and/or set up payment plans as appropriate.· produce monthly Construction G702/G703 pay applications· Support AP Manager by:· reviewing and approving coding of invoices and expense reports and ensure compliance to company policies and GAAP.· uploading and approving positive pay record and other treasury controls.· Supporting bank reconciliation process· Primary liaison with be-annual corporate internal audit and bi-annual external audit.· Primary liaison with corporate for annual insurance renewal.· Coordinate, complete, and document annual fixed asset count.· Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy· Manage, identify, and resolve account discrepancies· Support the company and perform other related projects and duties as necessary or assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:· A Positive, Customer Service driven Attitude· Ability to regularly dedicate first 5 to 7 business days of each month to close (excluding emergencies and illnesses)· Excellent management and supervisory skills.· Strong Professional verbal and written communication· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.· The ability to prioritize issues and respond accordingly· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software· Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software· Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:· 10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience· Construction accounting experience· Construction pay application experience· Hands on Collections and Customer service experience· Power BI skills· Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365· Lease management and lease accounting experience· Intercompany accounting experienceCompensation:· Industry and Location Benchmarked Competitive salary range starting at $80,000/yr. but may start higher based on experience, performance, and other factors.Benefits:· Cigna medical insurance plan options to fit your needs (HMO, PPO, or HAS)· Prescription drug program· Dental & Vision plans· Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for medical and childcare expenses· 401(k) savings plans (traditional and Roth)· Company-paid life insurance (with options to buy up)· Company-paid short-term disability· Accident, critical illness, long-term disability, and hospital indemnity options· Paid training and in-depth orientation· Paid time off and holidays· Recognition programs, prizes, giveaways, and advancement opportunitiesAbout Us:Be Proud to call us your EmployerWe are a value-driven customer service company with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
