You would be leading a strong team of Finance and accounting professionals.Under the direction of our CEO, the CFO provides leadership for all financial functions including corporate accounting operations, financial reporting, tax reporting, budgeting, payroll, and cash management. You will oversee budgeting, cash, expenditure control, audits, capital assets, reporting, and investment management; as well as be tasked with ensuring the development and implementation of comprehensive controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance accuracy of agency's financial results.The CFO is a core member of our Executive Team, which plays an active role in the strategic planning process and future priorities and opportunities, as well as internal consultant to Board President and CEO. . You unction as an internal consultant to the CEO on all financial matters. Some responsibilities include• Train the Finance Unit and other staff; Assess and plan financial strategies;• Participate in developing new business--new funding opportunities, drafting prospective programmatic budgets, and determining the cost-effectiveness of service delivery.• Collaborate with the Controller's office to ensure financial records and statements are maintained in accordance with GAAP, NYS OPWDD, and SED rules and regulations.• Ensure adequate controls are in place and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits.• Provide the CEO with an operating budget. Work with the CEO to ensure programmatic success through cost analysis support, and compliance with all contractual requirements.• Ensure the agency meets critical regulatory and legal compliance benchmarks.• Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development, and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets. Oversee all electronic purchasing and electronic billing systems, payroll.• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard the financial assets of the organization and oversee federal awards and programs.• Prepare annual budgets for the Agency, quarterly budgets, and monthly reports for CEO, and board meetings, monitor banking activities and attend the meetings• Attend Board and Subcommittee meetings; lead staff on the Audit/Finance Committee. Monitor the banking activities of the organization.• Prepare 1099, budgets for each program. Wage & salary incentives, maintain inventory of assetsWe require:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; Master’s preferred.• CPA preferred• Minimum 5 years of senior financial leadership experience• Minimum 3 years not-for-profile experience• Experience with day-to-day financial operations of organization at least 50 people• OPWDD experience preferred• Not for profit accounting in accordance with GAAP, OMB circulars, A-133, A-110, A-122, compliance requirements & familiarity with NYS regulatory requirements• Organizational development, human resources, and program operations• Strong organizational and computer skills (MS Office, MIP or similar software)Salary $160.000-190,000. HYBRID schedule after 6 months.
