Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager or Director to lead our financial planning and analysis function at our Long Beach location. This role requires a highly skilled professional with strong financial acumen, a background in logistics (highly preferred), and experience in a private equity-owned environment. You’ll report to the VP of Finance and manage a team of two FP&A analysts.Key Responsibilities:• Lead end-to-end financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.• Manage and develop the FP&A team to ensure effective analysis and support for strategic financial decisions.• Provide actionable insights on financial performance, driving cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities.• Oversee project management for financial initiatives, from planning to execution and post-implementation analysis.• Deliver comprehensive financial reports and presentations for the executive team, supporting data-driven decision-making.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with business objectives and improve overall financial performance.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or CFA preferred).• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, with a strong background in logistics or a related field preferred.• Proven experience in private equity-owned environments, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, results-driven settings.• Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing financial initiatives from start to finish.• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to senior leadership.• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial software applications.
