As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will focus on supporting our workforce by aligning HR initiatives to business goals. This position requires a versatile HR professional adept at managing diverse HR tasks, including benefits, onboarding, recruiting, compliance, and more. RESPONSIBILITIES... Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance • Manage the benefits program for the company, including but not limited to benefit enrollment, qualifying life event changes, look back period audits, classification changes, etc. • Lead the monthly benefit reconciliation process • Manage the 401K enrollment program • Assist in payroll processing, which includes calculating wages, deductions, and overtime. Ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursements • Ensure all employee data in HRIS is accurate, conducting audits on a regular basis • Respond to team member HR calls/email/communication • Stay informed about labor laws and regulations to ensure all HR practices, payroll processing, terminations, and final payment laws are being followed • Ensure all policies and procedures are being consistently applied and compliant with all state law and regulations • Helps with office administration items and other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Exercises extreme attention to detail • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems EXPERIENCE: • At least 5 years of HR experience • Comprehensive understanding of HR practices, laws, and regulations • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite- strong Excel experience • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
