The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.Responsibilities:Labor Relations:• Serve as the primary point of contact for union representatives.• Conduct and participate in union negotiations, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.• Address and resolve union grievances and disputes in a timely and effective manner.• Maintain updated knowledge of labor laws and union regulations.Employee Relations:• Foster a positive and productive work environment.• Handle employee concerns, complaints, and disciplinary actions.• Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.Recruitment and Staffing:• Manage the recruitment and selection process for manufacturing positions.• Develop job descriptions, conduct interviews, and coordinate hiring activities.• Implement onboarding programs for new employees.Training and Development:• Identify training needs and coordinate relevant training programs.• Develop and implement employee development plans.• Promote continuous improvement and professional growth among employees.HR Compliance:• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures.• Oversee the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.Performance Management:• Implement performance evaluation systems.• Provide guidance and support to supervisors and managers on performance management issues.• Facilitate performance improvement plans as needed.Health and Safety:• Collaborate with the safety team to ensure a safe working environment.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience• 7+ years' experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing• Union experience required• Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies• Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees• Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills• Attention to detail and good judgement
