This role is ideal for individuals who already have legal support experience in a law office setting and wish to support a busy practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from document review and legal drafting to administrative duties. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.• *Responsibilities**- Conduct thorough document and file reviews, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.- Assist in drafting and editing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, letters and contracts, under the supervision of attorneys.- Assist in the preparation of cases, including organizing case files.- Utilize document management systems to maintain and update client files.- Support attorneys in preparing for client meetings, hearings, and other court appearances.- Manage and coordinate administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence.- Record and file documents and pleadings with the court and communicate with court personnel.- Collaborate with everyone on the legal team to ensure seamless case management.- Independently perform tasks using various relevant sources at your disposal.- Perform other duties as assigned by the attorneys or management.• *Skills**- Strong knowledge of legal drafting, editing, and document review procedures.- Familiarity with estate planning, probate, trust administration, and elder law.- Proficiency in document management systems and Westlaw.- Excellent writing and editing skills.- Experience as a legal assistant, paralegal or similar legal role.- Strong organizational and time management skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive legal information.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:• 401(k) matching• Employee discount• Free parking• Health insurance• Paid sick time• Paid time off• Referral programSchedule:• 8 hour shift• Day shift• Monday to Friday• No nights• No weekendsEducation:• High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:• Legal administrative: 1 year (Required)Language:• English (Required)Ability to Commute:• Gainesville, FL 32606 (Required)Work Location: In person
