Our client in the Denver Metro area is looking to bring on a Linux Sys Admin to their team. They are looking for a candidate with eagerness to learn and a few years of professional experience.Job SummaryLooking for a candidate who will be responsible for support, maintenance and testing of network and service provisioning applications. The candidate will be involved in projects of moderate to high complexity within multiple environmentsJob Responsibilities\tProvide support for incoming tickets to identify issues associated with network and service provisioning layer in the lab\tFollows up on all the tickets in timely manner and pursues issues through to resolution\tResponsible for code deployments and release installs for various applications in the lab environment\tResponsible for troubleshooting network provisioning of various CPE devices\tWork closely with the development and architecture teams to understand the requirements around testing new features and releases\tResponsible for testing software releases for network provisioning and service activation applications\tResponsible for creation and execution of test plans and reporting bugs on issues found during testing\tAnalyze test data, document results, and clearly communicate results and conclusions to project stakeholders\tResponsible for creating and managing documentation for support and testing related activities for provisioning applicationsQualifications\tBasic knowledge of networking. The candidate should be conversant with IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, TFTP, SCP and have a basic understanding of firewalls and load balancers\tExperience with RedHat based operating systems such as RHEL and CentOS at an intermediate level\tMust be willing to learn new or unfamiliar technology quickly and products using documentation and internet resources\tMust be able to prioritize and achieve results while working on several simultaneous tasks and high-profile projects\tA self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment\tKnowledge of billers like CSG, ICOMS and NextGen process in a provisioning and activation flow is a plus\tKnowledge of testing fundamentals with experience in cable(Video/Voice/HSD) domain is a plus\tKnowledge of SAFE and Agile methodologies is a plusTechnical skillset\tLinux, VMWare, Splunk, Wireshark, Postman/SOAPUI, IPv4/IPv6 networking, Chef, Ansible, Container Services (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker)EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
