One Data Streaming Platform.Data Connects Us.About the Role:We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Product Marketing Manager who has experience with software development and/or data architecture. This person will help drive top-of-funnel awareness and evangelize Confluent’s core product message across our T1 and field events through keynotes, tech talks, breakout sessions, and more. Our target audience includes technical personas such as developers, architects, and technical executives.As a Product Marketing Manager for Confluent, you will be responsible for owning and/or influencing the messaging, positioning, and overall go-to-market strategy of Confluent. You’ll also work closely with colleagues from Events, Field Marketing, Developer Relations, Product, Campaigns, Analyst and Press Relations, Sales, and other teams across the company to execute on key product marketing initiatives.What You Will Do:Define and evolve the messaging and positioning of Confluent and how it contributes to Confluent’s data streaming platform storyBuild and execute on compelling product launches across both cloud and platform products, tying in to events as neededEvangelize our core messaging, positioning, and launches across our T1 and field events through keynotes, tech talks, breakout sessions, and moreOwn and contribute to key campaign activities focused on Technical Executives to build the category of data streaming platformsBuild technical content of varying depths for analyst relation responses, evaluations, and inquiriesAuthor blogs, whitepapers, and reference architectures on Confluent products and features, as well as Apache Kafka and data streaming broadlyEngage with technical practitioners and contributors looking to learn more about Confluent and Apache Kafka or to evaluate streaming alternatives across online third-party platformsIdentify any product gaps inhibiting GTM success for Confluent and work with Product Management to prioritize developer needs into the roadmapWhat You Will Bring:3+ years of product marketing experience supporting B2B SaaS products for technical users, or 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting, B2B SaaS or productHave strong product marketing skills that translate to clear copywriting, product evangelism, competitive positioning, and messagingThrive in cross-functional environments and can effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and teamsHave a data-informed mindset and are driven to set measurable goals for every project you take onAre incredibly organized and efficient—you take on complex projects and own them from start to finishApproach all projects with a developer-first mindsetWhat Gives You an Edge:Experience with Apache Kafka, data architecture, cloud services, or distributed systemsExperience building content for major tech events is a bonusCome As You AreAt Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture. This position has an annual estimated salary of $147,060- $172,800, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
