Job Description

  • CRU relieves all other calender crew members as needed including let off operators and millman. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Monitor calender banks, adjust strip widths, and checks nylon let offs
  • Hand spread strips of rubber as needed
  • Inspect product and ensure proper operation of machines
  • Cutting rubber at mills and calender during changeovers
  • Complete paperwork for crew sheets and performance reports
  • Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, climbing stairs, and twisting; occasional climbing ladders and reaching

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of manufacturing experience needed
  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position

ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes. 
  • New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends. 
  • The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. 
  • The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

HOURLY PAY

  • The hourly rate for this position is $26.51 - $28.01 per hour. This position is also eligible for a quarterly incentive program. 
  • This role will be eligible for shift differential which is added onto your hourly rate. The additional shift differential is $0.20 per hour for evening shifts, $0.40 per hour for overnight shifts, and $1.00 per hour for weekend shifts. 
  • Pay rate is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
