At Continental, we're excited to welcome a new Calender Relief Utility (CRU) to our dynamic team based in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. This role is all about versatility and teamwork, as you'll be stepping in to support our calender crew wherever needed. Your day-to-day tasks will include monitoring calender banks, adjusting strip widths, and ensuring smooth operations across various machinery. You'll have the opportunity to hand spread rubber strips, inspect products for quality, and complete vital paperwork that keeps our operations running smoothly. This physically engaging role requires you to lift and carry weights up to 100 lbs and involves frequent bending and climbing, ensuring that no two days are the same. While we embrace a non-climate-controlled environment, we prioritize your safety and provide all necessary training to navigate it efficiently.
