Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Pooler, GA is looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineering Associate (Internship Opportunity)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist continuous improvement team with improvement projects of various size and manufacturing processes.
- Work as a team member in cross-functional shop projects.
- Participate in shop floor improvement board meetings.
- Develop tools such as process maps for projects and process improvement efforts.
- Communicate with various levels of the entire organization regarding strategy, plans, events, and results of improvement efforts.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Education
- Education and/or Experience: Student in (B.S.) Mechanical, Aerospace, Material Science, Computer Science Engineering program.
- Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic email, word processing and spreadsheet.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
