Join us and we can make a difference together.About This Role:Reporting to the Warehouse Transformation Leader, the Project Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for executing strategic changes to the Supply Chain and Logistics network. This position is accountable for the successful management and orchestration of project implementation – taking projects from concepts designed by the strategic leadership team to final operating stages; ultimately handing ownership over to the operations leadership team.This role defines, plans and executes projects according to strict deadlines and budgets while coordinating inputs and tasks from broad functional areas in the company.Job Description:• Lead, guide and direct project development and execution from cradle to grave• Define project scope, goals and objectives in collaboration with Supply Chain and Logistics senior leadership team and company stakeholders• Develop formal project management plans, timelines, R&O material, and communication documents• Conduct post-mortems and implement best practices for continuous improvement in project management and execution• Identify contingency operating plans• Act as liaison between third party vendors, corporate real estate, SC&L leadership, finance and company stakeholders• Define requirements and manage start up teams and project resources• Delegate tasks and responsibilities within the project team• Identify and resolve obstacles• Manage change during project lifecycle (scope, functionality, etc)• Define success criteria and measure project performance against predetermined metrics• Build and cultivate relationships with external vendors and internal resources for the success of existing and future projects• Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork across the workforce to ensure all objectives are met• Sets goals, establish priorities, manage resources, and review project progress and results• Apply continuous improvement tools to identify and eliminate the root causes of issues that may arise within the warehouse operations. Participate in teams, committees, events and training that improve the organization’s culture, productivity and safety• Create strategies and deploys measures to achieve Carrier Excellence objectives• Create and maintain departmental reports as requiredRequired Qualifications:• Bachelors Degree• 10+ years of experience in a logistics operations environment• 5+ years Project Management experience in distribution/transportation field• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (may include international travel)Preferred Qualifications• Bachelors degree in business, finance, engineering or supply chain or progress toward degree with 10 years of logistics experience• PMP certification• Experience with leading successful Greenfield or Brownfield distribution startups• Working knowledge of WMS, TMS, and SAP and warehouse related technology• Strong written, verbal and public speaking communication skills – ranging from small leadership presentations to 100+ all employee meetings• Executive level presence enabling successful corporate executive dialogs• Ability to conform and manage to shifting priorities• Self-directed, autonomous leader with flexibility to adapt to team environments – collaboratively working and cooperating with other functional areas of the business• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply evolving industry technologies• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization• Ability to make logical and accurate decisions using the best available information• Detail-oriented and well organized• Excellent skills in word processing, spreadsheet use and development, and integrated data base systems• Passionate about eliminating problems before they occur#LI-onsiteRSRCARCarrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
