Continuous Improvement Manager

The Continuous Improvement Manager plays a crucial role in developing and implementing the Company's vision and strategy for Continuous Improvement in line with our lean model. The primary objective is to coach and influence the Site leadership team and employees to drive and sustain change within the organization.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Site leadership and employee teams to assess, plan, execute, and measure improvement activities.
  • Support the Site Steering Committee as a coach, teacher, trainer, and consultant, utilizing effective tools and methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.
  • Facilitate tangible operational productivity gains, aligning with annual budget plans and improvement objectives.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday. However, the role may require extended hours and occasional weekend work.

Travel Requirements: Frequent overnight travel to other facilities will be necessary to review processes and facilitate training.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to Lean Production Tools, such as the Toyota Production System.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, actively listening, facilitating, challenging, communicating, and motivating multifunctional teams and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication in the Site base language and English.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a relevant discipline, adaptable to change, and quick to learn.
  • Strong drive for operational excellence and business results, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Forward-thinking and customer-focused, willing to take measured risks.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Energetic, disciplined, and focused, with the ability to overcome setbacks.
  • Promotes open communication, values continuous learning, and enhances employee effectiveness.
  • Possesses essential facilitation and leadership skills.
  • Builds cohesive teams and serves as a role model in coaching and championing change.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, including the use of corporate desktop applications such as the Microsoft Office suite.
