Continuous Improvement Specialist

As a Continuation Improvement Specialist, you will be establishing and maintaining a continuous improvement culture in ABB, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology, and creating transparency to monitor progress. Deploy and lead a common approach for continuous improvement for a local ABB organizational unit, including creating a culture of continuous learning and improving. Mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results for the unit. Lead programs and projects to improve and sustain local business performance.

Your responsibilities

• Leadership: Deploys and leads a common approach for continuous improvement and strategy deployment
• Partners with local operations and business leaders to understand vision, objectives and improvement needs to better deliver the framework for improvement
• Capability Building: Define, develop, and implement mechanisms to identify and evaluate improvement opportunities within the local organization
• Develop skills at individual, team, and organizational levels, and promotes a continuous learning and improvement mindset, facilitating the exchange of best practices over organizational boundaries
• Process Documentation & Monitoring: Establish and maintain Order-to-Cash process documentation by leveraging existing benchmarks/ templates
• Monitor the performance of cross-functional handover milestones by establishing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and deploying low maintenance reports
• Governance: Establish and maintain a plan for improvement projects and improvement activities based on input from organization/identified potential areas for improvements
• Tracks programs, initiatives, projects, KPIs to demonstrate progress and value to help decision makers allocate resources and recognize success
• Benchmarking: Drive and/or joins systematic benchmarking of external processes and techniques, introducing the applicable ones into ABB

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field: Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or similar with at least 5 years of work experience, with a significant number engaged in a systemic continuous improvement process. Preferred experience in an industry leading company with recognized excellence in lean and Six Sigma
• Proficient with MS Office Suite. Previous experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software required
• Microsoft Power BI proficiency preferred
• SAP proficiency preferred
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
