Contract Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision on the Manager, Contracts, work collaboratively with members of the Elevator & Escalator Division and related functional areas to review agreements between MEUS and customers.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review all contracts for compliance with established guidelines.
  • When necessary, negotiate favorable terms to meet our guidelines and protect our interests.
  • Provide project management / project specific support to the Manager, Contracts.
  • Review agreements to ensure they reflect an accurate statement of work and protect our interests.
  • Compare the agreement to internal documents (e.g. bid proposals, corporate governance guidelines, operational policies and procedures) and resolve discrepancies through written or verbal negotiations.
  • Negotiate the agreement’s legal terms and conditions.
  • Produce an amenable final agreement within 30 days.
  • Support the Manager, Contracts with the project management of on-going initiatives, as well as one-time initiatives (e.g. product / data research, training or compliance audits).
  • Provide direction to support personnel throughout the contract process
  • Track all of your activities for maximum transparency in the process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred.
  • The ability to communicate well is an absolute must.
  • Must be proficient with the entire Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be passionate about details and organization and about reading, reviewing and analyzing data.
  • Prior experience in the elevator industry, construction industry or some type of legal background would be helpful.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $56,000 and $77,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
