Role overview

CarGurus is seeking a Contract CRM Manager to join our Consumer marketing team and manage our email and push notification programs. As our CRM Manager, you'll be responsible for managing our performance goals. You'll work closely with creative, product, engineering and marketing teams to build and execute our CRM strategy. This role will be a 3 month contract role.

What you'll do

  • Oversee daily performance trends, including monitoring performance of top emails and tracking performance of tests in market to make decisions to stop, continue or roll out to maximize business impact
  • Support deep dives into performance gaps or opportunity assessment and propose short term solutions and optimizations to improve business performance, including working with broader team and stakeholders to prioritize and execute the most high impact work
  • Consult with external stakeholders (ex. Product, Product Marketing) on new initiatives and requests to be integrated and implemented into the email program
  • Write creative briefs and manage prioritization and feedback process with Creative team

What you'll bring

  • 5-7 years of experience in email marketing, including campaign strategy and development, customer segmentation, A/B testing, and demonstrated understanding of industry best practices
  • Critical thinker and familiar with email optimization tactics to improve performance; eagerness to test, learn, and knowledge of how to pivot quickly based on results
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable pulling and manipulating data to uncover trends and tell a story
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth of an email program and its impact to the business as a result of strong strategic skills, innovative thinking and collaboration with stakeholders
  • Excellent creative skills, including ability to brief email creative and work with creative teams to give feedback and produce desired output
  • Familiarity with Looker is a plus
  • Self motivated/autonomous individual with ability to learn quickly and make an immediate impact

This role will be a 3 month contract role.
