Contract Customer Support Representative

This is a temp to perm position.

ROLE/JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to provide order administration, delivery confirmation and resolution of issues for all assigned customers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Performs order entry of all orders for assigned customers ensuring orders are entered timely and accurately (order number, quantity, product specifications, pricing, freight terms, shipping instructions, packaging, delivery date, other special instructions, etc.). Updates order information due to changes related to product, quantities and pricing.
  • Provides confirmation of delivery schedule and revisions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Provides assistance to customers through phone calls and e-mails on order status.
  • Interfaces with customers and internal organizations for the resolution of any issues.
  • Provides support to assigned Regional Sales Directors on customer related issues.
  • Creates and revises customer orders in the ERP system as required; updates daily order report as required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS, if appl.:

· Coordinates equipment sales orders and delivery schedules

· Create Customer specific documentation such as price file and order guides

· Review all orders, customer confirmations and customer notifications for accuracy

Education:

Required:

· High school degree or equivalent required.

Desired, if appl.:

· Associates degree in Business or related discipline preferred.

Job Experience:

Required:

· Three to five years of previous customer service experience required.

Technical/ Professional skills:

Required:

· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

· Ability to analyze difference documents to compare discrepancies

Desired, if appl.:

· Previous SAP experience

· Basic understanding of MRP and EDI

Leadership skills, if appl.:

· Understand the shared goals of the Customer Service team

· Strategic thinking and acting

· Work as a team, support other team members

General skills (language, IT, etc.):

Required:

· Demonstrated proficiency with computer software to include MS Office (Word and Excel), e-mail and ERP systems.

· Excellent typing and data entry skills and high attention to detail is required.

· Effective communication skills, both oral and written, are requried.

· Demonstrated ability to resolve issues with customers is required.

· Effective time management and organizational skills required.

Other Job Requirements (physical, etc.), if appl.:

· This position requires long periods of sitting behind a desk, extensive telephone work and performing tasks on a computer. Additional physical requirements include standing, bending, hand dexterity, seeing, hearing, reaching and light lifting of up to 20 lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $22.50 per hour

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday

Work setting:

  • In-person
