Contracts Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Contracts Manager to join our team. We are looking for creative, intelligent, and driven professionals who want to make a positive impact on the planet. This position will report to the Corporate Counsel and will provide support in reviewing, negotiating, and managing business contracts to ensure all commercial terms and risks are covered. The contracts manager is required to assess and administer the contracts for compliance with applicable laws, schedules, specs, terms and conditions and the company policies for the benefit of the company. One of the key requirements of this role is the ability to handle large volumes of work accurately and within tight timelines. The company is expected to grow rapidly over the next few years and there will be exciting opportunities for career growth.


Responsibilities:
  • Review and negotiate terms and conditions of business contracts for the solar industry with minimal supervision.
  • Drive diligence of contracts review to ensure all risks are identified.
  • Prepare and review non-disclosure agreements, contract amendments and other contract types with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate as needed with key stakeholders in Legal, Sales, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Review purchase orders to confirm compliance with quoted pricing, and terms of the agreement to ensure that all required elements are accurately captured.
  • Escalate and coordinate with Corporate Counsel for guidance on risk analysis and contract disputes.
  • Maintain record of all contracts and agreements and ensure all contracts remain current with timely renewal(s).
  • Review and negotiate supplier and service contracts.
  • Manage signature process.
  • Manage the contracts repository.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

Required Experience & Skills:
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 5+ years of prior contracts/ legal experience, negotiation and administration
  • 5+ years relevant experience in EPC / clean energy industry (preferably solar industry)/construction strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Ability to drive projects to completion in an accurate and timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office applications
