Position Summary

We are seeking a professional, experienced, and effective Controller with a proven history of accounting and finance success to join our team. Our ideal candidates have a passion for results and the will to put in the time and effort to get the job done. In this role you will perform numerous functions related to improving the financial performance of our homebuilding operations.

Responsibilities

Preparing financial statement and management reports, controlling and allocating costs.
Determining inventory valuation and cost of sales, preparing, reviewing and approving journal entries, allocations, accruals and financial reports.
Performing analyses and preparing schedules for financial package support, the tax department, auditors and management.
Reviewing budgets, sales agreements and settlement documents on closed homes.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have a college degree in Accounting or Finance and thorough knowledge of financial operations. A CPA / CMA or MBA is also preferred. Homebuilding experience is preferred but other related industries may be considered.

Successful candidates need to have a demonstrated track record of positive results related to Financial Acumen, Competitive Analysis, Strategic Planning and Business Operations. Additionally, the Controller needs to demonstrate Leadership and an understanding of key metrics that drive a successful team.

Compensation

Base Salary: $110,000 - $150,000
FLSA Status: Exempt
Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
