Coordinator, Distribution & Materials

POSITION SUMMARY:

With direction from Lead Person, this position is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Mitsubishi Power Module inventory located at MEAU. Responsible for shipping & receiving including SAP input, cycle counts, researching discrepancies. Dual reporting to and coordination with onsite MEAU Management designee.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist Lead person with material handling operations including picking, anti-static packing & re-packing, shipping, receiving, and storage.
  • Strictly adhere to OSHA requirements and safety program as detailed by the company Safety Officer.
  • Work with the Lead person, Distribution Manager, and MEAU to plan and implement new processes and strategies to improve operations, inventory control and accuracy.
  • Assist with scheduling of inbound deliveries and outbound shipment pick-ups to meet Sales, Operations, and special customer requirements.
  • Responsible for assisting Lead with Power Module inventory accuracy and shipping accuracy.
  • Assist Lead person perform regular cycle counts, research discrepancies using multiple SAP tools, and prepare related reports to Management and MEAU using Excel.
  • Process returns, transfers, and rework or special projects as required.
  • Document information relating to the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, and perform all related SAP data entry accurately and timely, to ensure data integrity. This includes but is not limited to factory & vendor PO receipts, transfers, and authorized return receipts.
  • Prepare outbound shipments to meet company and customer requirements for safety and security; this includes picking, packing, palletizing, wrapping, banding, and labeling.
  • Process any shipments requiring special preparations, including special customer labeling and customized pallets, and export orders.
  • Perform physical receipt of inbound materials including off-loading, contents and condition verification, damage and shortage reporting, labeling, and storage.
  • Operate gas powered and electric forklifts in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform daily forklift checks and perform minor maintenance and adjustments.
  • Ensure that the warehouse is clean and organized and that all safety issues are reported.
  • Remain vigilant and cognizant of all potential theft or loss situations. Ensure that warehouse is secure when unattended.
  • Follow all CTPAT guidelines while completing work assignments and duties.
  • Performs other job functions as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with physical inventory and cycle counts.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Experience in material handling.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20.39 and $28.03/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
