About the role

Roku Media is seeking a coordinator to support the Roku Originals content team in Santa Monica, CA.

For California Only - The estimated hourly rate for this position is between $21 and $40 per hour.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide administrative support to the Head of Originals, Roku Media, including, but not limited to calendar and contact management, travel booking, expense reconciliation and cross-functional logistical project support
  • Run point on team meeting logistics including - collecting and compiling multi-department agenda items, taking notes and following-up on deliverables following meetings
  • Interface and coordinate meetings with both internal and external partners
  • Aid in the monitoring status of incoming creative pitch submissions
  • Liaise with all appropriate, cross-functional team members, including from the production, post-production, business affairs, legal, marketing, consumer insights, PR, and Operations departments
  • Assist in evaluating prospective ideas pitched by the entertainment community, including from third-party production companies, producers, talent, and talent representatives

We’re excited if you have

  • BA/BS required, with specialization in Media Studies, Communications, Business Administration or other adjacent disciplines
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience at a media/entertainment/tech company
  • Experience as a creative assistant - particularly at network, studio, production company, or talent agency
  • Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skill – especially with juggling multiple competing priorities
  • Strong and effective communicator
  • Proactive and diligent approach to navigating complex topics
  • Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and deductive reasoning – with the ability to think 2-3 steps ahead
