The Role


This role is responsible for: 


  • Robust understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging companies
  • Collaborating with executives on M&A strategy, developing investment themes on priority verticals, identifying and sourcing ideas for new and actionable opportunities, and partnering with internal functional leads to evaluate potential build/buy/partner opportunities
  • Quarterbacking M&A process, working closely with functional leaders to build financial models, driving due diligence, supporting all aspects of deal negotiation, and collaborating to help define a robust integration plan
  • Leading cross-functional collaboration in executing high visibility strategic initiatives
  • Expanding industry network to increase ability to identify and source opportunities
  • Driving internal initiatives to enhance existing corporate development processes and tools 


You bring


  • 6+ years of total work experience with 3+ years of professional consumer fintech industry experience in investment banking, private equity and/or corporate development
  • Deep understanding of consumer fintech M&A lifecycle and end-to-end execution experience 
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical, problem-solving skills, along with experience in building financial models and conducting valuation analyses
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to multitask effectively, working in team environments or independently
  • Ability to manage complex projects, and workstreams, while maintaining high attention to detail
  • An act-like-an-owner mentality. We have a bias toward taking action.
  • MBA preferred


Pay Transparency


The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $250,000. Pay is generally based upon the level, complexity, responsibility, and job duties / requirements of the specific position. Leveling Philosophy


In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we’ve adopted a flat titling structure at ONE. Though we may occasionally post a role externally with a prefix such as “Senior” to reflect the external level of the position, we do not use prefixes in titles like that internally unless in a position which manages a team. Internal titles typically include your specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management or sales, and often include additional descriptors to ensure clarity of role and placement within our organization (i.e. “Engineer, Platform”, “Sales, Business Development” or “Manager, Talent”). Employees are paid commensurate with their experience and the internal level within ONE.
