Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager (Contract)

Course Hero is scaling! We are looking for an experienced Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager (Contract) to lead a core audience segment and help expand our marketing channels. You'll be joining our small, results-oriented team in our journey to build an outstanding customer experience through lifecycle channels like email, push notifications, and in-app messages. In this role you’ll produce engaging and effective lifecycle programs, expand infrastructure to set the team up for success, and collaborate with partners to elevate the lifecycle marketing program and help the business reach its goals. The perfect fit for this role is a highly technical marketer with a customer-centric approach and strong project management skills. 

This is a contract position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, with availability between 9am-5:30pm PST Monday-Friday. This assignment will start in June 2024 and end in September 2025. While we cannot guarantee anything beyond this date, there is the possibility of the contract extending or converting to a full-time opportunity.

Here are some ways you'll make an impact:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, creative teams, and engineers to develop scalable multi-channel marketing campaigns using html, css, liquid, responsive modular templates, and other tools
  • Plan and develop lifecycle marketing strategies and user flows to engage, convert, and retain users 
  • Implement complex, multivariate A/B tests, monitor and analyze performance, and make optimization recommendations
  • Create and optimize segmentation and content personalization strategies by leveraging user insights and business data.
  • Proactively identify gaps in process and infrastructure, propose solutions, and ultimately, improve production efficiency
  • Build and maintain process documentation, establish best practices, and improve production efficiency
  • Analyze results, determine benchmarks, and provide regular performance updates in order to assess business impact and make recommendations 
  • Work closely with growth marketing leadership to define OKRs, contribute to annual and quarterly plans, and suggest and implement growth initiatives

Are you our next Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager?

  • Earned a BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience including working with an enterprise-level CRM platform (Braze experience preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS, including mobile-responsive templates and experience with a scripting language (Liquid, AMPScript, Free Marker, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with data concepts such as APIs, JSON, ETLs, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Martech landscape and an ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Experience with measurement tools like Tableau, Looker Data Studio, Amplitude, AppsFlyer, Google Analytics.
  • Experience successfully building and maintaining sophisticated, multi-channel experiences and multivariate A/B tests
  • Passionate about building scalable solutions that drive long-term impact
  • Highly communicative, diligent, have strong time management and organizational skills, and an ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Self-starter who’s also comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Resilient multitasker who consistently meets deadlines and is comfortable with shifting timelines and priorities


Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Braze
  • Proficient with SQL
  • Experience with Javascript

This role is eligible for hire in Canada & United States. 

We are a virtual-first company and have employees dispersed throughout the United States and Canada. We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

Canada Pay Range
$53$71 CAD

In accordance with California law, the base salary for this role if filled within Callifornia is as follows.

California Pay Range
$52$94 USD

In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within Colorado is as follows. 

Colorado Pay Range
$52$80 USD

In accordance with New York law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York is as follows.

New York Pay Range
$52$89 USD

In accordance with Washington law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York is as follows.

Washington Pay Range
$52$85 USD
