Crating Specialist Job

Job Description

The Production Associate is a team member who is authorized, responsible and accountable for maintaining quality standards by preparing and shipping finished products by crating, packaging, and palletizing as required. This associate will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of each order filled and dimension of each crate that is produced.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong work ethic, team player, and strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with the use of hand and power tools such as staplers, nail guns, and drills for the crate assembly.
• Inspection and quality control of manufactured products.
• Fill out production reports according to the company’s needs.
• Able to read a tape measure and comfortable with basic mathematics.
• Experience with crating and packaging, or at least a similar background in carpentry, construction, or manufacturing is helpful.
• Must be able to Lift 50 Ibs

Work Environment

Metals Facility – This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions. Required PPE includes Hard hats (when required), safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and fall protection.
