Position Summary...
Investigates and analyzes financial evidence resulting from insurance claims, litigation support, and fraud related matters. Performs loss tracking and SLM data management.
Responsibilities
• Analyzes, interprets, summarizes and presents complex financial and business related issues in a manner which is both understandable and properly supported.
• Utilizes accounting, auditing and investigative skills to conduct insurance claim and/or fraud investigations.
• Uses data analysis techniques for fraud detection, evidence gathering and investigative techniques, and litigation processes and procedures to perform work
• Provides technical accounting advice within area of expertise to client and/or members of the Crawford Forensic Accounting Services.
• Develops models for analysis related to accounting, finance, economic issues in the context of business transactions; provide recommendations where applicable
• Communicates findings in the form of reports, exhibits and collections of documents
• May assist in legal proceedings, including testifying in court as an expert witness and preparing visual aids to support trial evidence.
• Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/ or Finance.
• A minimum of two years of experience in Forensic Accounting.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Understanding of economic theories, business information, financial reporting systems
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and procedures, data management & electronic discovery
• Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with different personality styles and build relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
