Position Summary & Scope:
To own and lead all copy, art, concept and strategy, created and executed by the native team. This role involves writing and editing stories for branded content, white label, social media & advertorials.
Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas):
Key Accountabilities:
Write based on client briefs for advertorials, articles, social media captions, and microsites
Ensure the copy is clear, consistent, complete, and credible, and that text is well written and grammatically correct across all lines of business.
Edit stories written in-house as well as by freelancers with an understanding of both article structure as well as line editing.
Ensure that the content ideas properly represent the voices of our editorial brands as well as our advertising partners.
Ensure that all projects are executed on time while adhering to Condé Nast standards.
Ensure that every pitch note or deck created by the Native team is well-articulated.
Ensure and facilitate the achievement of KPIs that’ve been committed to the social media retainer clients
Planning and Execution:
Partner with the Sales team on the conceptual creative development of custom programs from pitch to delivery
Actively Pitching, Ideating, writing, creating concept notes and pitch decks, including treatment references and mood boards as required
To work on suggesting the optimum media deliverables based on the client brief and budget.
Brainstorming with the team on briefs, giving them creative direction.
Working closely with the ‘Creative Strategist – Art’ in creating innovating interactive content destinations for brands, delivering top-notch layouts for social posts and in ensuring the right design language is maintained across all communication elements like web banners and social media posts
People & Team Management:
Manage the team and ensure all deliverables of the creative output are fulfilled as per committed milestones
Champion diversity, inclusivity, and empathy in every stage of the creative process
Functional Competency
Proficiency in copy editing and research/fact-checking
A flair for writing and meticulous editing skills
Deep understanding of multi-format and social media content
A keen eye for visuals
Knowledge of SEO concepts and WordPress
Good understanding of Google Analytics
Educational Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s or Post Graduate Degree in either Journalism, Advertising, Design, Mass Media or a related field with 7-8 years of relevant experience in managing content for either an agency or a brand
