CANADA /GROWTH – MARKETING / PUBLIC RELATIONS /FULL-TIME


After growing revenue 112% in 2020 despite the pandemic, we’re gearing up for hyper-growth in 2021. Paid marketing is going to be one of the biggest levers for that growth, so we’re looking for a Creative Director who can build and lead a world-class creative team to design and produce the ads that will help us acquire millions of new users.  


As a Creative Director, you'd be the lead on marketing creative at Hopper. You'd build out and lead a creative team, manage a network of external agencies, actors and freelancers, and help us make high-performing ads backed by millions of dollars in ad spend.


Responsibilities include:

  • Building and leading Hopper’s creative team
  • Leading Hopper’s marketing creative strategy, from ideation to execution at scale
  • Building and managing a network of external agencies, actors and freelancers to help scale creative production
  • Supporting new products and teams with hands-on creative work
  • Analyzing creative performance and using data to guide our overall strategy
  • Partnering closely with internal stakeholders to devise impactful marketing strategies
  • Providing creative thought leadership and continually identifying new opportunities to take creative performance to the next level


Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in a Creative Director or Senior-level Creative role, including building and leading a creative team
  • 5+ years experience with design, video editing, and motion graphics, and is comfortable working in Premiere, After Effects, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Experience with direct response marketing and creating ad content for paid social (Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Strong ability to come up with new ad ideas, messaging and creative concepts
  • Strong ability to analyze data and turn findings into actionable strategies to further improve creative performance
  • Knowledge of current creative trends within the user acquisition space
  • Experience with creative automation and scaling creative production
  • Ability to write compelling ad copy and scripts that drive potential customers to convert
