This position can be based out of the NYC or Philadelphia area. We follow a hybrid work model of 3 days/ week in office.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the design vision and leading the creative process to craft user-centric, visually appealing, and highly functional consumer-facing products. Your work will transform intricate financial concepts into seamless, engaging experiences that resonate with our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Own the end-to-end design process, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and final UI design.

  • Simplifying Complexity: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to distill complex financial concepts into intuitive and educational user experiences.

  • Design Aesthetic: Develop and maintain a world-class design aesthetic that aligns with our brand and resonates with users.

  • Storytelling: Leverage storytelling to communicate design concepts, product vision, and user flows effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

  • User-Centric Approach: Advocate for the user in all design decisions, ensuring that their needs, challenges, and behaviors are at the forefront of product development.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure design solutions are feasible, scalable, and impactful.

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, learning, and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7-10 years of professional experience in product design, with significant experience designing for consumer apps. Previous lead or senior design roles are strongly preferred.

  • Fintech experience is preferred 

  • Design Philosophy: Proven ability to simplify complex problems through elegant and user-friendly design solutions.

  • Tool Proficiency: Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.

  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a history of designing and delivering successful consumer-facing digital products.

  • Education & Communication: Ability to craft educational and informative experiences that engage users and improve their understanding of complex topics.

  • Collaboration: Exceptional teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

The base pay for this role will be between $200,000 and $275,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
