Your challenge:

As Senior Content Designer, your role will be to translate complex financial topics into simple, easy-to-understand, human experiences that seamlessly guide people through our experiences. You collaborate daily with product designers, product managers, engineers and stakeholders to devise and craft a clear, concise, and intuitive experience for our users.

In this role, you’ll approach design through the lens of language, leverage your expertise to improve the design and usability of our product that is used broadly in Germany.

Your team:

You will be joining a multidisciplinary human-centred design team including product & service designers, content designers and user researchers who are passionate about meeting our customer needs. Your product group focuses on our multi-product experience outside of the tax filing journey, including onboarding, home screen, document manager, support center, and other functionalities. While owning your domain you collaborate closely with another content designer, aligning and improving on our content standards and quality. We work in collaboration with product managers, data analysts, tax experts, and many others to solve complex challenges and craft powerful experiences that highlight our products’ unique capabilities.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the teams in your product group to create a compelling and intuitive user experience

  • Design content screens that are not only visually appealing but also read and feel culturally relevant for the German market

  • Collaborate with designers, engineers and product managers to create empowering user experiences through excellent information architecture.

  • Plan out design activities and align with mission team timelines

  • Work cross-functionally to seamlessly integrate users needs with the goals of both your teams and the business

  • Manage stakeholders as you advocate for users in every project

  • Ensure consistency of Tone & Voice in all projects and initiatives

  • Audit and revise existing content to ensure continuous improvement

  • Discover new ways to use data and research to validate recommendations and measure the efficacy of your content within your teams and its business impact

  • Contribute to writing guidelines, ensuring alignment with our brand

  • Work as an important part of the design department to raise content standards throughout the product organisation

Your profile:

  • You have a minimum of 2-4 years of copywriting experience and 2-3 years UX writing /technical writing experience (UX design and/or information architecture important)

  • Bachelor's Degree in research, communication, design, sociology, marketing or a related discipline (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Able to tackle complex, interconnected challenges and prioritize workload

  • Basic understanding of and interest in financial services

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity to provide clarity in language

  • A love of both strategy and hands-on writing and editing

  • Ability to collaborate in a participatory, team-based environment and support and inspire teams through collaboration as well as direction and vision

  • An ability to understand the value of great content within a business context and advocate for best practices amongst multiple senior stakeholders

  • Able to proactively contribute to the design and iteration of our product

  • A team player who is passionate about creating a great user experience

  • Enthusiasm for high-quality user experiences and the desire to teach others about its importance

Language Requirements:

  • Native German language skills are required for this role

  • Working knowledge of and business fluency in English
