Senior Partner Decision Scientist

We’re seeking an analytical, driven and results­-oriented individual to join the Partner Decision Science team. In this role, you will use your analytical and strategic experience to create data-driven business recommendations that develop and deepen relations with our Credit Card, Personal Loan and Auto Loan partners, ranging from startup fintechs to the largest financial institutions in the world. This role has high­ visibility and will contribute meaningfully to Credit Karma’s revenue growth.

You’ll work on analytics for Easy Apply API which reduces application friction. You’ll contribute to building out frameworks for evaluating decisions and product trajectory. And you’ll do all of this within a high­ growth technology company whose mission is making financial progress possible for Credit Karma's members.

What the job entails

  • Leverage internal and external data to develop business recommendations that generate value for Credit Karma and our partners
  • Thoroughly understand the capabilities of the Credit Karma Easy Apply API, help drive requirements and identify enhancements to current capabilities
  • Design and build performance dashboards to measure the health and risks of our business
  • Unlike some analytics functions, you are not a service provider. You’re a thought leader to the product, presenting fact based recommendations that drive the Credit Karma business forward
  • Success in the role will correlate closely to your ability to influence product decisions, identify opportunities for growth or improvement, and drive adoption with our lending partners
  • Build strong relations with analytical and data science teams at financial institutions

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in math, data science, engineering, business, marketing, finance, or economics from an accredited college or university
  • 3-5 years of financial services, consulting or a similar strategic or analytical experience
  • Proficient in SQL/Python 
  • Experience with digital funnel and/or product analysis is strongly preferred
  • Experience interfacing with teams at Financial institutions preferred
  • Familiarity with credit bureau data is preferred

  • Able to quickly understand our partner ecosystem and use that knowledge to advance the goals of our partners and our business
  • Both curious and creative, consisting seeking out ways to improve our partnerships and business
  • Ability to work cross functionally and assert influence internally/externally
  • Team player that doesn’t view fun and work as mutually exclusive
