Senior Analytics Engineer

About the Job:

CreditAssociates, an industry-leading financial services company based in Plano, is recruiting a Senior Analytics Engineer to work on our growing Corporate Reporting and Analytics team. Our ideal candidate for this position is someone with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or similar.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business analytics, business information systems, or similar
• 5+ years professional work experience in the data space
• Practical experience with SQL (preferably MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL), data modeling/data warehousing, and Python
• Practical experience with visualization libraries and tools such as matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and/or Superset
• Basic understanding of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and data mining (theory, algorithms, and application)
• Understanding of cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Salesforce and/or marketing experience is preferred, but not required

What You’ll Work On:

• Creates and maintains data pipeline architectures to meet continuing needs of stakeholders
• Solves novel and complex business problems with high quality maintainable code
• Ensures data is prepared for easy visualization and reporting
• Gathers data from a variety of sources
• Expresses complex, technical topics to management, peers, and others who may not possess a strong data background. Explains deep or technical topics in easy-to-understand terms.
• Designs, develops, and maintains scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, and other tools to support our stakeholders' needs. Relentlessly focuses on minimizing defects and technical debt.
• Advocates for leading data practices and makes sure that our business users make data driven decisions.
• Provides high quality documentation.
