Job Description:

OVERVIEW:
The Temporary HR Generalist is to report to the Talent Risk & Relations Director, the HR Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's human resources functions, with a focus on talent relations, compliance, and risk management. This multifaceted position provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in HR, gain exposure to various HR disciplines, and develop essential skills in a professional services environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Relations:

  • Provide guidance and support with respect to core HR and talent relations issues, e.g., preparing talking points for separation and performance management discussions, assistance with leave processes, support with responding to HR inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR partners to implement HR and talent relations best practices.
  • Assist with development of internal processes and guidelines.

Talent Risk & HR Compliance:

  • Provide guidance and support with respect to talent risk issues, e.g., support with responding to employee concerns.
  • Assist with policy development and administration under the guidance of senior HR professionals.
  • Support HR compliance activities, e.g., ensuring posting of applicable employee notices, assist in tracking relevant legislative developments and identifying potential gaps, documenting and tracking management and internal controls.

General:

  • Support the development of educational materials for HR topics.
  • Assist in data collection and basic analysis for HR reports.
  • Participate in audits and assessments, providing assistance as required.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries and collaborate with the HR team.
  • Other activities as needed to support and advance the objectives of this team.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 3 years in an HR generalist role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; HR-related coursework is desirable.
  • Integrity: High integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve complex issues independently.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and strong communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Openness to learning and handling diverse challenges.
  • Organization: Ability to manage tasks, prioritize effectively to meet competing deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

The hourly rate for this position is $30-35/hr based on location and background.

This is a temp-to-hire position
