About This Role:

The Product Security & Risk Research team is seeking a passionate and driven Product Security & Risk Research Intern for a June 16 start date. This role will support projects at the intersection of security research, data analysis, and automation, contributing to initiatives that inform our proactive security strategy. Over 10 weeks, you will gain practical experience identifying risks, analyzing real-world threats, and assisting in the development of tools and processes to enhance our security posture. This is a temporary internship position.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Security Research & Design Reviews: Analyze physical and cybersecurity threats, develop proactive security measures, and participate in secure code and system design reviews.

  • Detection & Data Science: Support the collection and categorization of security data from commercial, open-source, and industry sources to improve security insights.

  • Security Automation & Tooling: Explore automation opportunities to enhance security risk tracking, detection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Process Development & Cross-Team Collaboration: Help document secure processes, best practices, and risk management workflows while working with security engineers, IT, and product teams to integrate risk insights into security decision-making.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Security Fundamentals: Solid understanding of security fundamentals, including cyber & physical threats, security frameworks, and risk analysis.

  • Scripting Proficiency: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) for security automation and analysis.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with YARA rules, data science concepts, and software development practices.

  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to quickly learn, adapt, and work effectively across teams.

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, graduating in Spring or Fall of 2026
