Sr/ Director Site Head of Supply Chain

The OpportunityThis is a leadership position that ensures the site maintains consistent focus on supplying our customers and patients quality product, on time and in full, meeting the supply requirements of both internal and external demand. You will lead the site-wide planning process, integrating the manufacturing Site into the Global supply network, supporting and influencing network decisions through the Global IBP process in order to meet the supply requirements of both local and global demand. This role will represent the department during critical investigations, projects, internal, customer and regulatory audits. The position ensures a GXP conform production with efficient processes.This role is located in our Kankakee manufacturing facility and requires very little travel. You will report to the Vice President, Site Head Supply Chain Operations with a dotted line to the Vice President, Manufacturing and Site Head of Kankakee. Functions reporting to this position include:• Planning• Procurement• Logistics• Lifecycle ManagementThe Role• Coordination and management of all production-related activities of the department to optimize the production processes (processes, staff, material and equipment).• Development and implementation of policies and practices to ensure 1) the time and quantity-oriented manufacture of the required products and 2) a compliant production (c-GMP, safety, environmental protection, health care) continuous improvement of Supply Chain processes (processes, equipment, layouts) and for cost reduction.• Ensure appropriate production conditions regarding staff (quantity, qualifications, training) and space (processes, equipment, facilities) to meet the short and long-term production requirements.Your skills and experience• Bachelor's degree with a major in science, technology or supply chain management or comparable completed professional training with minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry with specific knowledge in supply chain management, production planning, master data management, business applications and project management preferably in integration projects.• Master's degree preferred, MBA desirable.• Very strong knowledge in supply chain management, supply chain processes and lT systems as well as in the SAP module PP and Fl / CO.• Demonstrated experience in financial management and understanding of business value drivers.• 8 – 10 years’ managerial experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biological industryOur BenefitsCSL employees that work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits effective day 1.
