ASUM Child Care Preschool invites applications for a Culinary Associate I to join their team. The Culinary Associate I will prepare meals according to Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines and program menus.
Responsibilities Include:
ASUM Child Care Preschool and Family Resources’ purpose is to provide high quality
care and education for children (newborn to age 8) of University of Montana Students, faculty
and staff in an accredited developmentally appropriate program. A byproduct of our mission is
the opportunity to provide employment opportunities for U of M students interested in working
with young children.
Our program participates in the Child Adult Care Food Program, a USDA child nutrition
program. We receive funds for the serving of nutritious meals and snacks in order to promote
health and nutrition education for you children.

Position Title: Culinary Associate I
Position Number: NEW
Department: ASUM Childcare
Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, 12 months/year.
Salary: $16.375/hr Current employee’s rate of pay for this position will be determined by the staff compensation plan and will minimally be this posted salary. For questions and details regarding the staff compensation plan, email the Compensation Department.
Union Affiliation: FOCUS-MFPE
Probationary Period: Six months minimum
