Sr Frontend Engineer

We’re looking for our first Senior Engineer – Frontend Technical Lead to join our ever-growing Engineering team.   

We want this person to be responsible for designing and implementing innovative features for CultureAI’s SaaS product using modern frontend frameworks and processes.  The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js and Angular and how to implement them in a SaaS environment as well as possessing high level coding experience with responsive CSS and modern JavaScript(ES9+).

Day in the life   

• As the Frontend Technical Lead in the Engineering team a key part of your role will be to guide across the business on the best frontend frameworks, processes and libraries to elevate our product to new heights,  

• Leading on the design and implementation of innovative new features for the CultureAI product and its support tools.  

• Collaborating with the team of UX Designers and Product team on any new features.  

• You will be hands on with engineering in this role – 70% 

• Using your experience to guide the full stack PHP Engineers, and future dedicated frontend Engineers, in adopting the new frameworks and processes you recommend as best fit for purpose.    

What you bring to the team   

The ideal candidate will have experience implementing modern frontend frameworks into a large-scale SaaS application as well as excellent JavaScript coding skills. It is important you are comfortable working as part of a small close-knit team who are mostly remote across the UK and Europe.  

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively when faced with complex challenges, always striving to find elegant and efficient solutions. 

• Extensive knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js and Angular. We expect you to be able to articulate the trade-offs of each and use your experience to select the best choice for the situation.  

• Expertise in with modern (Flex/Grid) & responsive CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES9+), with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.  

• Expertise in CSS frameworks such as SASS/SCSS, PostCSS, tailwind, bootstrap.  

• Strong understanding of web standards, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility 

• Knowledge of responsive web design principles and experience in creating fluid, adaptive layouts that seamlessly function across various devices and screen sizes 

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban 

• Understanding of UX design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with our Design team 

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide other team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
