Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Custodian. The Custodian will be responsible for cleaning the Noblesville Technical Center facility and ordering supplies as needed. It will be a first shift position with 8-hour shifts from 7:30AM to 4PM.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of the restrooms; wipe off countertops, clean toilets and urinals, wipe mirrors, check paper towels and toilet paper as needed, mop floors, and empty trash cans
Clean the social hubs; wipe off countertops, clean coffee ports, wipe down water machines and ice machines, check paper towels and refill as necessary, stock coffee supplies, mop the floor, and empty trash cans
Take care of the office areas; dust social seating areas, check the cratering room, clean handrails on the stairways, and disinfect doorknobs, open seating areas, and treadmills
Clean executive offices; dust the offices and empty trash cans
Take care of the the dining rooms and training rooms; check trash cans, clean the coffee machines, order coffee machine supplies, mop, wiping off tables, wipe off desks, and clean glass doors
Maintain the wellness centre; mop the floor, clean counters, remove trash, and clean the sinks
Clean the lab areas; check trash cans, mop floors, check soap dispensers, and check paper towels

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not required
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment
Ability to handle and operate cleaning equipment safely
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
Familiarity with safety protocols and the ability to identify and report potential hazards preferred
Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
