The Nuclear Application Engineer will be part of a team of application engineers and technical commercial managers working closely with sales, engineering, product management, and supply chain departments to provide best fit valve technology solutions for our customers.

As a Lead Engineer - Customer Application Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical expertise and develops technical solutions as part of the ITO process while interfacing with the commercial team.
  • Performing continuous improvement of the Commercial and Application Engineering team to best position our solutions based on external market requirements.
  • Leading the development of control valve proposals, driving configuration, timing, quality, and competitiveness to match customer critical requirements.
  • Providing leadership and guidance during the deal review process to ensure all technical risks acceptance levels are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording to deliver safe and profitable contracts.
  • Possessing a deep understanding of valve markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies including technical analysis of client need.
  • Connecting the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business. Communicates across the function in area of expertise.
  • Managing relationships with direct customers (EPCs, End Users, OEMs, Packagers, etc) and indirect customers (channel partners)

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have education from an accredited university or college and 3 years in sales origination experience, which could include experience in Regional Customer Application Engineering.
  • Have experience working in diverse, virtual teams with the application and administration of control valves
  • Have experience with industrial customer markets such as power generation, oil & gas, transportation, mining, food & beverage, etc
  • Have geopolitical awareness in dealing with global teams, customers and markets. Preference for multilingual, including Spanish.
