Job Description:
OVERVIEW
Join the Kroger & Strategic Grocery Shopper (ADUSA, Albertsons/Safeway, Publix, HEB) team as the Customer Insights Manager and take on the opportunity to partner with Sales, OmniCategory Management, Customer Marketing, and Customer Market Intelligence to influence strategy and selling opportunities through shopper and industry insights.
In this job you will play a key role in anticipating and uncovering compelling insights about the shopper, the customer, and marketplace. Through this work you’ll have the unique opportunity to influence strategy and selling opportunities through prescriptive recommendations that drive growth.
Key capabilities and experiences you’ll build in this role include:

Data Analysis Savvy: opportunity to learn, apply & land Kroger/GMI opportunities via primary and syndicated analysis (including 84.51)

Impact Business Decisions: develop differential shopper first insights that set up selling opportunities

People Development: Responsible for coaching and developing two direct reports who lead strategic grocery and foundational/industry insights
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Know the Kroger shopper better than anyone

Build differential, insight driven stories that proactively identify growth opportunities

Utilize modern research toolkit – including learning & championing Kroger 84.51 – to influence selling apertures

Build trust with GMI customer team(s) through opportunistic partnership and accountability to impact.

Grow and inspire a team of two direct reports

Expand and apply capability development (ShopperVu, Shopper Journey, etc) with Strategic Grocery; and partner on important customer initiatives such as Joint Business Planning

Build connectivity across Customer Insights, with OmniCatman, Customer Marketing, and broader CMI function
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research or related

5+ years experience in industry (CPG, Retail)

Strong command of syndicated toolkit – and ability to synthesize simple, compelling story

Proven ability to work in agile environment; self-starter

Positive track record working with cross functional team and building effective relationships

Travel to Kroger Business Center (Cincinnati, Ohio) approximately 4 times/year and Minneapolis 1 time/year
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The salary range for this position $103,600 ‐ $172,900.
