CaptivateIQ is seeking a customer-obsessed and experienced Customer Marketing Manager to join our growing Marketing team. This Customer Marketing Manager will be a natural builder, energized to come in and create a customer marketing motion from scratch, leveraging happy customers, product knowledge, and an understanding of demand generation to be able to churn out a combination of content/stories (across a variety of mediums), social proof (ratings/reviews), sales references, and more to ultimately drive net new business and impact the bottom line. 


This candidate will be responsible for building relationships with happy customers, securing their endorsements and testimonials, and building a sustainable and programmatic advocacy program. This role requires a deep understanding of customer relationship building, marketing tactics, and demand generation to be able to bring all these elements together to effectively use advocacy to drive the business’s bottom line. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a data-driven mindset, capable of developing and executing impactful marketing campaigns - using customer stories and social proof - to engage and delight our customers in exchange for their participation in an appealing customer program.


Responsibilities


  • Drive customer advocacy initiatives to identify and nurture brand advocates, ambassadors, and influencers across a variety of industries, use cases, and segments. 
  • Develop and manage programs that encourage customers to share their success stories, participate in reference calls, provide testimonials, and contribute to community forums - with an ability to scale and programmatic this motion over time. 
  • Demonstrated partnership with Sales & Customer Success teams to effectively source happy customers for use in demand gen campaigns, in a way that is a win/win for all. 
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of customer marketing initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in customer marketing and apply relevant strategies to help us automate and scale without negatively impacting the customer participation experience. 


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in customer marketing, preferably in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry.
  • Solid understanding of marketing principles, specifically demand generation and how to effectively use customer proof to drive business performance 
  • Experience building compelling presentations to secure customers for advocacy participation. Experience with light “selling.”
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and content for diverse audiences
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and customer success


CaptivateIQ takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this job posting shows the minimum and maximum target starting base salary across all US locations. The successful candidate’s starting base salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education, work location, market conditions, and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. Certain positions may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and other benefits.
