General Purpose and Scope of Position:
This position plays a critical role on the customer service and operations team, supporting order processing, inventory management, and overall facility performance. The Customer Service Rep is tasked with providing outstanding customer service and is a key liaison between sales, operations, suppliers, and customers.
Additionally, this position provides administrative/processing assistance for order processing and inventory management.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with computers to the intermediate level utilizing Microsoft Windows, Windows applications, and ERP order entry systems. JD Edwards practice and process training will be provided
- Knowledge of mathematical concepts and the ability to apply such concepts as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical application with accuracy
- Ability to sit at a desk and/or computer terminal to perform writing and/or keying/typing information for protracted periods of time
- Mobility to move freely across uneven terrain both indoors and outdoors safely
Key Personal Attributes Include:
- 1-3 years of experience in customer service/support, or
- 0-1 year entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply, full training is provided.
- Ability to establish meaningful relationships with customers, colleagues, supervisors, and support teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to read, analyze, and interpret written procedures and reports.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Practical organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail.
- Generally proficient with new technology, Microsoft 365, and Oracle’s JD Edwards ERP preferred, training will be provided.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Agriculture industry experience is plus, but not required.
- Being bilingual (English and Spanish) is plus, but not required.
Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
- Ensure safety for customers and coworkers by following company safety policies and procedures and report any safety hazards or incidents quickly and appropriately.
- Exemplify compliance with company policies and procedures within the office and support the warehouse in remaining compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor and process orders, shipping documents, invoices, and assist with payment collection by utilizing JD Edwards, Microsoft 365, and other online platforms.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
- Identify and escalate priority issues that require immediate attention to the appropriate department or supervisor.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of company products, services, and policies in order to provide accurate information to customers.
- Assists other office team members in administrative tasks to ensure quality customer service, meeting deadlines and sales support.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Assist with inventory management including daily/quarterly/EOY movement counts.
- Continuously develop and improve customer service skills and knowledge through training, coaching, and self-learning.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor, Facility Manager, or the District Customer Service Manager.
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $20.58 - $26.06 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
