Senior Backend Golang Engineer

Are you a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python and Cloud? Are you interested in building a greenfield platform for one of the country's best financial institutions? If so, this project is perfect. We are partnering with of the largest banks in America, that is looking to hire a Senior Back End Engineer on a contract basis. You will join through the end of the year, with an option to extend the contract for a further 6-12 months.About the role:The current legacy loyalty and rewards program systems the business has are inadequate due to their lack of configurability, inability to support multiple tenants, incapacity to manage the expected increased load, and deficient observability and resilience. The engineering group is building a greenfield platform to replace existing systems and add scalability capacity. The initial build will be focused on a new partnership acquisition, and will be scaled to include other card rewards and loyalty programs at a later point in time.The majority of the work will be using Python with either Lambda or Fargate as well as Aurora Postgres. There are some existing components written in Golang, so any experience with it would be hugely beneficial.Tech Stack: Python, SQL, RDBMS, NOSQL, AWS, REST API, GraphQL, CICD, Github, Design PatternsRequirements to be considered:• Expert level understanding of Python• Extensive experience with AWS, SQL, REST API development, CI/CD and Design Patterns• Ability to hit the ground running with the above tech stack and make positive contributions to the project between now and 12/31• Ability to work EST hours• GC Holder or US Citizen• Great communication skills in order to collaborate on large scale greenfield projectIf you are interested and hit the above criteria, please apply to be considered.
