Position Overview
Daily Harvest is looking for a passionate, analytical Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our Performance Marketing team. This person would work closely with the Creative, Strategy & Insights, Finance and Marketing teams.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing lifecycle marketing strategies to optimize the customer journey, from acquisition through retention and reactivation. You'll own end-to-end campaign processes across email, SMS and push/in-app channels, including strategic planning, creative management, monitoring and performance reporting. You'll be charged with setting and achieving LCM KPIs while delighting our customers through on-brand storytelling.
This person should have 5+ years of email marketing experience with a focus on subscription businesses. You have a track record of developing campaigns that successfully drive customer acquisition, retention, loyalty + reactivation.
This position will report into the Senior Director of Performance Marketing.
What you'll do:
• Develop and implement lifecycle marketing strategies to optimize the customer journey from acquisition through retention and reactivation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and care, to define key touchpoints and design personalized experiences for customers in the early stages of their lifecycle
• Create and optimize automated email campaigns, SMS and push / in-app notifications to encourage desired behaviors from new, existing and lapsed customers
• Segment customer cohorts based on behavior, demographics, and lifecycle stage to deliver targeted and relevant messaging
• Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of lifecycle marketing initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on strategies to drive higher conversion rates and customer retention
• Own end to end campaign processes including strategic planning, creative management, monitoring and performance reporting
• Work closely with Daily Harvest's creative team to craft personalized and relevant messaging tailored to different stages of the customer lifecycle; maintain high standards for marketing creative/copy to ensure brand alignment
• Own strategic testing roadmap, including promotion testing, A/B testing and multivariate testing, to optimize messaging, timing, and channel effectiveness
• Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in lifecycle marketing to stay ahead of the curve and continuously innovate our approach
• Collaborate with the Strategy + Insights team to develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs and communicate performance insights to stakeholders
• Continually refine and optimize lifecycle marketing campaigns to meet consumer needs
• Build and launch successful SMS marketing strategy
• Own and scale Daily Harvest's refer-a-friend (RAF) program
Who you are:
• 5+ years of email marketing experience with a focus on subscription businesses
• Hands-on experience creating automated journeys using a marketing automation platform (Braze, Klayvio, etc.)
• A track record of developing campaigns that successfully drive customer acquisition, retention, loyalty + reactivation
• Ability to effectively switch between strategic and tactical environments within a fast-paced organization
• A deep understanding of customer data and experience using customer data for audience segmentation and personalization
• The ability to use reporting and analytics to drive strategy and execute key initiatives that level up to company goals
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to blend art and science to develop LCM strategies that achieve KPIs and delight our customers
• A solutions-oriented self starter who thinks analytically, meets deadlines and exceeds expectations
• Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries, building cross-functional relationships and advocating for customer-centric outcomes
• Passionate about all things food – ingredients, the environment, the food system on the whole
• Exceptional visual and verbal presentation skills
• Curious, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas
The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
