Senior Product Designer

About the Role

Dandy is hiring a Senior Product Designer to join our Product/UX Design team. In this role, you’ll be customer obsessed and work to dig and define customer problems and then craft seamless and effective design solutions to solve them, always driving toward defined customer outcomes. 

About the team 

This role will land on 1 of 2 focus domains listed below. The final role placement will be finalized in the interview process.

  • Internal tools team: supports the experience for all our internal Dandy users. Primarily focused on the experience of our expert designers, who are crafting the end products for our practice’s patients.

  • Customer facing product line team: Supports the end to end design requirements for a full product line. I.e. from onboarding a new customer for this product, to scanning and ordering, to providing updates on an order as it is being fabricated, collecting feedback once it has been shipped to the Doctor, etc. 

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate to Define and Solve User Problems: Work closely with your stakeholders and users to identify and define user pain points, crafting innovative design solutions that improve workflows and drive measurable user outcomes.

  • Design Seamless experience: Lead the end-to-end design of your space with a bias to empowering your users to complete their tasks and goals seamlessly. Create intuitive, scalable interfaces that streamline your user’s workflows.

  • Iterate and Validate Designs: Utilize qualitative and quantitative user research to iterate on designs. Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback to ensure solutions meet user needs and achieve both user and business outcomes.

  • Advocate for User-Centered Design: Champion a customer-obsessed approach by driving user empathy within the team, ensuring the customers voice is always heard and is a driving force in the experiences we release to them.

What We're Looking For 

  • 4+ years of experience in product design

  • Portfolio showcasing examples of your design work, in industry 

    • Your examples should show effective storytelling of your ability to define a user problem, then work collaboratively and iteratively to craft an effective design strategy that solves the problem and meets the goal user outcome once released 

  • Ability to formulate strong points of view balancing the users needs, the business needs, and any supporting data/metrics

  • Solid understanding of basic research methods and how to use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform your designs 

  • Knowing when to apply the appropriate level of fidelity to your work, being conscious of when to prioritize speed to learning vs when to prioritize rigor 

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Bonus Points For

  • Experience in the dental or healthcare software industry 

  • Experience in supply chain design (E.g order status, debugging where an order is etc.)

  • Experience in 3D CAD design (E.g. Add/edit/manipulate in design plane i.e. Figma/Photoshop editors, 3D CAD editors)
