Job Locations: San Francisco, or Chicago, only. This is a hybrid role but must able to commute to the office.

You:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in our Supply Chain organization. The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting data to support business decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments to understand their data needs and provide them with the insights they need to make informed decisions.

You are an experienced professional using best practices, specialized expertise, and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve operational services. You work independently and receive some guidance and direction from your manager then determine the best approach to accomplish work. You act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and solve complex problems while taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.

What You Will Do:

Cisco Meraki is looking for a new Data Analyst to join our Supply Chain Team in San Francisco! As the fastest growing cloud-managed networking team in the world, our products and technology architecture are changing the face of enterprise networking and making cloud-managed IT a reality. We also understand on a personal level, by simplifying powerful technology we can free passionate people to focus on their mission.


  • Collect and organize data from various sources.

  • Build SQL queries to meet business needs.

  • Clean and validate data to ensure its accuracy and reliability.

  • Analyze data using statistical methods and data analysis tools to derive insights and make predictions.

  • Identify trends and patterns in datasets and communicate synthesized data results.

  • Create reports and visualizations, such as graphs, charts, and dashboards, that are easy to understand and interpret.

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their data needs and provide them with insights they need to make informed decisions.

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in data analysis, such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or similar role.

  • Proficiency and professional experience in SQL, Excel and programming languages such as Python and R

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or Qlik.

  • Familiarity with statistics, data modeling, data warehousing and ETL pipelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Compensation Range:

$80,100—$144,400 USD

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
