The Data Analyst will work alongside the program management office, engineering, and customer support teams to provide data related project support, data investigation, research, data management, and data reporting. The analyst role will troubleshoot and investigate data anomalies and issues along with working directly with the engineers and other support groups to follow through and get the issues fixed. The Analyst will be instrumental in analyzing data discrepancies and making recommendations to AMC Leadership.
- Perform extensive data validation/quality assurance analysis within large datasets and build proactive data validation tools to catch data integrity issues
- Maintain analytical systems, verify the accuracy of the data, and act as liaison with AMC subordinate commands
- Apply data modeling and data Visualization principles
- Work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Work with a variety of data sources - extracting knowledge and actionable information from massive datasets
- Convey your work and results to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with engineering and operations to document standard operating procedures for the collection and performance of systems and components
- Be a passionate problem solver - breaking down problems and providing solutions after applying critical thinking skills
- Continuously strive for a deeper understanding of AMC’s operational and performance drivers
- Work across HQAMC and subordinate commands to understand how data outputs affect different groups and identify areas where our team can provide additional value
- Participate in AMC working groups, peer groups, and other functional support groups to provide recommendations on control systems cybersecurity best practices, risk management techniques, and vulnerability assessments
- Participate in program peer groups reviews and provide insight on DA command plans, executives summaries, operational orders, after action reports, program reviews, etc.
- Generally conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on data to generate insights and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification

Required Skills
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, statistics, operations research, business, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6-8 years related experience
- US Citizenship required; must have a minimum of an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance
- Must have exceptional Microsoft Office skills (including EXCEL and PowerPoint)
- Possess working competence in data construction, integration, querying, and visualization development
- Strong ability to troubleshoot, resolve data issues, and build tabular and/or visualization reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge or previous experience in applying analytic methodologies and principles
- Experience with Data Analytics tools such as ACCESS, Tableau, and Power BI
- Previous DoD/Army Staff experience
