Our Newest Opportunity:

As the PBM Data Analyst, this individual will be responsible for supporting ongoing data collection, maintaining effective communication during the reporting process, as well as the development and maintenance of analytics deliverables. Typical functions include, but are not limited to, gathering, manipulating, and summarizing data for plan reviews, mid-year reports, benchmarking reports, and providing ongoing analysis throughout the year. Analyzing claims data and reporting on possible future costs will be critical functions for this role. This position will project manage the development, preparation, and interpretation of client deliverables.

The analyst may be asked to attend broker & client meetings to communicate complex financial concepts and support the delivery of financial analysis to the broker or client. The analyst will be an internal subject matter expert on data collection, process and procedure as well as standard reporting packages for ongoing services.

The analyst will work independently and with the reporting team each year to reach departmental goals. The analyst must regularly report progress on projects and organization initiatives to leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Support external process development for file transfers and assist each client’s implementation with varying external options.
Attend client or vendor meetings to assist in confirming proper information, process development, or present findings.
Assist in the maintenance of various data sources and schedule internal reviews of source information.
Provide proactive departmental leadership for client reporting deliverables.
Identify and maintain the best data sources and analytical tools.
Create book of business reports that can be published for client education.
Innovate new reports and metrics to drive organization growth.
Conduct qualitative and/or quantitative studies using spreadsheets, databases, and customized applications.
Partner with team members to resolve internal and external client escalations in a timely fashion.
Conduct plan performance analysis.

Experience in Microsoft suite, Reporting Services, and SQL Server

Education, Training and Experience:

1+ years of experience in PBM industry or 2+ years of experience in a data science/analyst role.
An earned bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial, computer science or finance is preferred.
Understanding of pharmacy/medical contract language.
