EVV Technical Analyst
The Department for Medicaid Services is requesting resumes for the following position:
Currently seeking qualified candidates to fill one (1) Technical Analyst for upcoming project in Frankfort, Kentucky. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for analyzing, implementing and testing a technical solution for the Medicaid Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) project.

Job Description

• Meeting and communicating with Medicaid stakeholders to understand and meet their requirements.
• Analyze and understand business requirements related to Medicaid programs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Communicate technical requirements and recommendations to stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business analysts.
• Responsible for analyzing technical information and aligning it to the business strategies and procedures in meeting project goals.
• Work with Medicaid data sources, such as state data warehouses, to extract and manipulate data to support analysis and reporting.
• Work with the project team to focus on technical methods to extract technical solutions essential for the business.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline data collection, data processing and data reporting.
• Support business analysts to work with vendor to build and implement technology solutions.
• Manages multiple tasks simultaneously ensuring all documentation is provided and updated accordingly meeting project timelines.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Analyze and document user requirements, procedures, and problems to design systems.
• Review system capabilities, workflow, and limitations.
• Conduct analysis of business issues and write analysis reports.
• Effectively communicate with technical teams and document business and IT information in line with agreed processes and procedures.
• Translate business requirements, documenting functional specifications, conversions, interfaces, reports, forms, and implement workflow across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid policies, rules, and regulations.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• 3+ years' experience of technical or systems related analysis preferably in healthcare industry
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Experience in software development, system analysis, or design
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks at any one time while maintaining high quality standards.
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently and in conjunction with team members.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Experience with SQL or other data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding of XML.
• Knowledge of data conversion scripts
• Understanding of healthcare technology, decision support tools, and healthcare data exchange standards
• Knowledge of healthcare, Medicaid programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Prior experience with healthcare claims and payments.
• Strong understanding of healthcare enterprise systems (including, but not limited to claims, finance, MCO's, and providers), with the ability to
