Do you have hands on experience in setting up entitlement, vending patterns, API, ingestion patterns and lake formation? Are you experienced with Redshift/Postgres databases and role access? American Century Investments is currently recruiting for a Data Architect and Modeling Lead.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Proficient in data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems.
• Hands on experience in setting up entitlement, vending patterns, API , ingestion patterns, lake formation, Redshift / postgres databases and role access
• Develop and collaborate conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Proficient in both Relational, Star, and Snowflake modeling techniques
• Proficient in ER studio or other modeling tools
• Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system.
• Managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and implementing the proposed solution.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data management policies and principles.
• Expert level in designing AWS data lake, Redshift and ODS data stores in cloud.
• Proficient in APIs and design / maintain data vending patterns for the downstream usage.
• Planning and execution of big data solutions using AWS technologies.
• Defining and managing the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization.
• Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
• Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
• A minimum of 8 years application development and support experience
• Proven track record as an architect and modeler with hands on experience in implementing AWS cloud technologies.
• Willingness to continue to learn new technologies and to become an authority in all aspects of the business areas supported.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Strategic and creative problem solver.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to provide technical and business guidance to technical and non-technical staff.
• Expertise with building technology systems and solutions for Big Data, Data platforms, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW)
• Experience building and maintaining key business relationships
• Experience using Agile Methodologies.

• Expert in all aspect of data architecture principles and guidelines
• AWS certifications

Hybrid Work environment. This position may be hired at ACI office locations - New York, Santa Clara, Kansas City and Southlake/DFW.

For those hired outside of Kansas City, MO, there may be some travel, at least once per quarter, to ACI Headquarters (KCMO)

For NY and CA based candidates, the salary range for this role is $130,000 - $165,000. Actual offers are based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position is eligible for cash incentive providing the potential to earn more.
