As a Data Engineer specializing in Transmission Planning within OPPD, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain data systems and infrastructure to support the efficient and reliable operation of the utility's transmission network. This position will work to enhance Transmission Planning processes making strides in data analytics, querying, & automation to ensure the integrity, reliability, and resiliency of the OPPD Bulk Electric System and the effective utilization of OPPD's transmission facilities. 1. Define, develop, optimize, & maintain techniques to identify, gather, analyze, visualize, & communicate data using automation to optimize the transmission system's reliability, cost, and resiliency.
2. Stay abreast, evaluate, and support the use of technology and philosophies related to transmission system planning (including data analytics & visualization, cloud computing, multithreading, python coding, and geographic information systems).
3. Creates and supports ad hoc reports, dashboards, visualizations and interactive applications that support data-driven decisions.
4. Designs, runs, enhances, debugs, and monitors scripting for the purposes of improving Transmission Planning processes.
Provide general department support for technology. This may include administering virtual machines and managing other computing resources. Provide support for software licensing and renewal as required.

Salary: Min: $91,371 - Mid Point: $114,214.
